Carbon Negative

Carbon negative is the result of any emitting agent reducing its emissions in line with the 1.5º SBT and investing in natural and artificial carbon technologies to remove and offset more greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than it emits.

Negative emissions can be achieved with direct capture of CO2 from ambient air, bioenergy with carbon capture and sequestration, reforestation, and a long list of new upcoming technologies and methods to lower the impact of invested economic agents.
