Verification of Emissions

Verification of emissions refers to the process of assessing the reliability and suitability of a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory following the accounting principles of completeness, accuracy, transparency, comparability and consistency in line with the scientific standards followed. In order to be in accordance with high-level standards, the verification of emissions is usually carried by a different group to the one responsible for the estimation of the GHG emissions.
