Validation of emissions involves the assessment of the conformance of the methodologies used to the framework followed and likelihood that the methods and procedures set out to be used will produce verifiable greenhouse gas (GHG) data and information. It is important that validation is considered when setting out to estimate GHG emissions in order to meet all the accounting principles of GHG inventories.
