Sustainable Development

Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (WCED, 1987).

Sustainable Development entails working towards achieving an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for three pillars of our society: economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection. If our generation achieves protection of the environment while building equal opportunities around the world, we stand a chance of building the best future humanity has ever lived in.
