For an investment or a climate target, to be Paris-aligned, it needs to be climate-resilient and consistent with the Paris Agreement’s long-term goals of limiting temperature rise below 2ºC and aiming for 1.5ºC. For a climate target to be Paris-aligned it would also contribute towards climate adaptation and transition for vulnerable populations and areas.
