The IPCC is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. It is made up of a body of international climate change scientists that assess the scientific, technical and socio-economic information to understand human-made climate change and the risks. It is in charge also of researching into the potential for reducing the rate of global warming. To achieve its goals the IPCC produces scientific reports, methodology reports and guides as well as setting the foundations for the accounting and management of greenhouse gases (GHG) inventories.
The latest of the its assessments is the Sixth Assessment Report of 2022 “Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability”
