Wind Power

Wind power is a renewable and clean energy source that emits fewer greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions relative to other sources of energy. By harnessing the kinetic energy of air currents, wind turbine technologies turn air into electrical energy. At the moment there are two main types of wind energy based on place of installation of the wind turbines:

  • Onshore wind energy: responsible for producing electricity from the wind in land.
  • Offshore wind energy: responsible for transforming into electricity the wind power on the high seas, where it has higher and more constant speeds due to the absence of barriers.
