Decarbonisation refers to the process that governments, individuals and most importantly business use to achieve zero existence of carbon emissions from their activities.

In the framework of governments and entities, this is usually accompanied by decarbonisation plans that draw the roadmap towards reduced carbon footprint from energy, transport, manufacturing, and the general emissions from all direct and indirect activities.
