Carbon Mineralization is essentially a method of removing carbon dioxide (CO₂)from the air and store it to utilise CO₂ to synthesise products with enhanced properties. In Carbon mineralization, CO₂ reacts with minerals rich in Calcium and Magnesium and the method is aimed at storing the CO₂ in carbonate materials, also referred to as Solid Storage. It is also aimed at removing CO₂ from air and storing it in carbonate materials, referred to as combined mineral capture and storage. CO₂ mineralization has the potential for accelerating transition towards low carbon energy and resource conversion pathways.
